GeoShack is currently searching for a Regional Manager for our Central Texas Territory, with offices in Austin and San Antonio, TX.  The successful candidate for this position will have a background in selling high tech solutions to the construction industry, experience in leading a sales team and proven success in building and maintaining rapport with key customers.  This individual will report directly to the CEO.  Additionally, you will work in partnership with other Regional Managers to achieve overall company objectives.


The Regional Manager’s primary role is to assist the sales team in identifying and closing business opportunities to support overall revenue objectives. In this key position, the successful candidate must be highly motivated and will be responsible for managing the region including hiring and terminations, financial analysis and reporting, and creating and maintaining strategic relationships with customers in the region.  The individual should have a strong understanding of the construction industry as it relates to GPS, machine control, lasers, survey instruments, etc. and the many vertical markets that comprise our customer base.  This position is about building the region through sales and marketing efforts while providing excellent customer service. 


  • Professionally lead, manage and supervise your team of sales, service and administrative personnel.
  • Oversee the operations of the Austin and San Antonio stores.
  • Assist the sales team in identifying and closing business opportunities.
  • Meet with key clients, assisting sales specialists with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products.
  • Direct staffing, training and performance evaluations for all team members in the region.
  • Responsible for the financial performance of the region.
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals for each of the members on the sales team.
  • Direct sales activities within established sales territories, quotas and goals.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales updates and regional overview.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of region to conform to budgetary requirements.


  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university is required.
  • 10+ years proven sales experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Experience selling 3D or 2D machine control equipment, surveying instruments or GPS products is a plus.
  • Proven track record of account management and sales success.
  • Customer oriented; have a knowledge and understanding of the business culture and culture of the customers.
  • Demonstrated success in new account creation and customer-focused problem solving.
  • Exceptional negotiation, project management, organizational, prioritization and planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (oral and written) skills required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities to meet deadlines and achieve overall goals.
  • Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards and attention to detail.
