GeoShack is searching for a Mining Sales Representative to develop a market throughout the Western United States.  The ideal candidates will be based in the greater Denver, Colorado area but will cover the mining community of the Western United States.  The successful candidates for this position will have a background in high tech solutions for the mining industry, and proven success in building and maintaining rapport with key customers.  The individual should have a strong understanding of the production side of the mining industry, both underground and surface, and have a passion to promote operational efficiencies to that market.

Responsibilities

  • Sell equipment, parts, accessories, rentals and service as a total customer solution and build long term relationships to maximize customer and company profitability
  • Accomplish sales activities within established sales territories, quotas and goals
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products
  • Meet with key clients, assisting sales specialists with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
  • Remain current on industry trends, market activities and competitors through research, trade magazines, trade shows, trade organizations, social networking and other resources.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales updates and pipelines

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of proven sales experience, preferably in the mining industry
  • Experience selling 3D or 2D machine control equipment, surveying instruments or GPS products is a plus
  • Proven track record of account management and sales success
  • Demonstrated success in new account creation and customer-focused problem solving
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (oral and written) skills are required.
  • Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards and attention to detail
